Alaska Rescue provides training and certification in a variety of technical rescue fields. Dick Rice is an instructor trainer with Rescue 3 International. Dick provides specialized “hands on” training in swiftwater rescue, OSHA compliant industrial rope rescue, technical rope rescue, ice rescue, NIMS and NFPA compliant motorized and non-motorized boat handling.
Alaska Rescue is recognized statewide for customized safety training for seasonal staff working in remote areas of Alaska. We can provide safety and survival training for employees who travel by raft, kayak and/or motorized boat for work in the backcountry.
Dick teaches the Coast Guard approved “Restricted OUPV Guide on the Freshwater and Rivers of Western Alaska”. He is also an adjunct faculty staff with University of Alaska Ketchikan’s Maritime Division and teaches Coast Guard approved “6 pack” OUPV and the 100 Ton Masters Courses.
Dick works with a variety of governmental agencies, fire departments, rescue teams, guiding companies and individuals.
