All Alaska Rescue LLC courses are offered in the three levels of functional capability identified by NFPA 1670 (2017). It is the responsibility of the agency or AHJ to determine which level meets their emergency response needs. Alaska Rescue LLC takes pride in delivering a class that will exceed your expectations.
Course durations will be determined by topic, prior experience, and AHJ / agency needs. Ops and Tech level courses will include prior level curriculum. In general, class duration will be as follows:
Alaska Rescue LLC offers a wide variety of industrial rescue training including tower rescue and confined space rescue classes. Classes are customizable; Alaska Rescue LLC will work with you to create a program that meets your agency's needs.
All of our rope courses emphasize resource management and include an in-depth overview of the fundamentals of safe rigging. We believe in providing students a solid foundation that will allow them to work through the unplanned events they may encounter after successfully completing the course.
Working in the dynamic environment of moving water brings many variables that can affect performance. Knowing the "why" before the "how" is imperative when working through situations involving water. Our swift water rescue courses include a strong emphasis on scene size up, the development of an affective incident action plan, resource management, personal protective equipment, rigging, and tactical skills.
The Alaska Rescue ice rescue course takes a deep dive into understanding ice formation and some of the added hazards associated with ice over moving water. This course also has a strong emphasis on size up, developing affective incident action plans, resource management, choosing the correct personal protective equipment, rigging, and tactical skills specific to ice rescue.
Alaska Rescue LLC offers crevasse rescue training for those who already have basic rope rescue skills (operations level or higher) or as an add-on to Alaska Rescue's basic rope rescue course (conditional upon successful completion). This course will focus on equipment, personal protective equipment, anchor building, and small team or single rescuer techniques.
